I'm Kelly Mercer. I started Coastal Hygge because I wanted to use my creativity and share my hygge and home decor interests with others alike, mainly with a coastal vibe. 
 

Work

Work has always been about getting creative and designing many different things. I grew up with a residential designer who taught me some ropes about architecture. After college, I choose the graphic design and web design career paths. At my 40-something, I often daydream about architectural visualization and interior design. 

 

A bit about my style

I always consider myself a beach person. I live in Wilmington, North Carolina, home to Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, and Kure Beach. My home decor is about coziness with a touch of Scandinavian, coastal, and retro.
